National Services Division (NSD) plans, funds and co-ordinates national specialist and screening services on behalf of NHS Boards and the Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates (SGHSCD).
Within NSD the National Network Management Service (NNMS) commissions a wide range of national clinical and diagnostic networks. It provides consistent, high quality managerial and operational support to enable networks to deliver their aims and objectives to standards and timescales specified in service agreements. With our support, the networks can focus on what they are set up to do – adding value to healthcare in Scotland by supporting safe, effective, person-centred care.
We are seeking an experienced Programme Support Officer to join our team in Edinburgh or Glasgow to support national networks across Scotland. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who works well with others, has excellent interpersonal, organisational, IT and communication skills, is able to work to deadlines and prioritise a busy workload.
Networks include health and other professionals from education, social care and voluntary organisations. Frequent travel throughout Scotland is also required. A pool/hire car is available for business use.
