An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Transplant Coordinator to join our friendly and innovative renal team.  The post holder will provide specialist nursing input to support the delivery and management of NHS Tayside’s renal transplant service alongside the medical team and work within the framework of national drivers and local guidelines.


Applicants should have a minimum of 7 years post registration experience, 2 of which served at senior nurse level.  The ability to make professional, autonomous clinical decisions through history taking, assessment and problem solving is an essential requirement of this post.  The role will involve working autonomously supported by the renal medical team and working collaboratively with all members of the extended multidisciplinary team including; emergency department, medical and surgical consultants, research team, specialist nurses, specialist palliative care and the ward teams as well as other key stakeholders.

With significant clinical acumen, within an acute/critical care environment the applicant will evidence sound knowledge of emerging and best practice models, you will deliver excellent clinical and patient experience outcomes. You must have or be working towards a Masters Degree.

You will be expected to play an active role in; enhancing patient experience, assuring clinical governance, peer review and audit. You will be expected to support the senior leadership team and contribute in the improvement and continued development of the service
