Reproductive Medicine
Band 7 – 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, innovative, self motivated pharmacist to work within the Women and Children’s Team.
It is an excellent position for a pharmacist who wishes to progress their career but is not sure which area to specialise in. In addition to gaining experience in neonatology, obstetrics, gynaecology and associated service, you will be able to build on experience gained in providing pharmaceutical care to medical and surgical patients.
There will also be opportunities to participate in service developments including the development and updating of a wide range of guidelines and Patient Group directions.
Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent; be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have completed (or be close to completion) the Scottish Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training Scheme or equivalent.. Your experience will have been gained working in a patient focussed environment using your knowledge and skills to improve patient care and promote optimal outcomes from medicines. If successful you would be supported to undertake a MSc in clinical pharmacy or prescribing qualification.
You will be expected to participate in the rotas providing departmental dispensing services, weekend and public holiday cover and on-call service.
