Post Title :Senior Public Health Research Specialist (Responding to racialised underrepresentation in public health)
Grade : Agenda for Change Band 7
Salary : £39,300-£46,006 (pro rata for partime hours )
Hours : Part time (0.5WTE)
Tenure : Fixed Term for 12 months

The Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) as an organisation are keen to understand and address the causes of racialised underrepresentation in public health in order to support our work to address structural inequalities. We are recruiting a specialist post to support this. The post holder will play a key role in the exploration of two interrelated issues: racialised underrepresentation in public health data and priorities and, inequalities within the public health workforce, particularly in leadership positions. Crucially, they will identify opportunities and support action that can begin to address historical underrepresentation. The post is intended as a developmental role and we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate a long-standing commitment to issues of racialised health inequalities in paid or unpaid roles.
