NHS Highland is the lead agency for the delivery of adult community care services in the North Highland area. Due to the expansion of the Adult Social Care Leadership Team the exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit specialist Principal Officers.  Together this team is responsible for the overall management and improvement of NHS Adult Social Care. The Principal Officers will be a positive addition to this established team to contribute to supporting the social care workforce and key partners in delivering high quality person-centred services. 

This post provides professional support to the Highland Adult Protection Committee to implement its core functions - as required by the Scottish Government, The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, and National and Local ASP guidance - to actively promote inter-agency and multi-disciplinary working in Adult Protection.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of Adult Protection principles and values; have an up-to-date working knowledge of Adult Protection issues, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation; and have excellent organisational skills.
