This is an exciting opportunity to take up a joint appointment between NHS Tayside and the University of Dundee as a Clinical Academic Nurse Consultant for Older People. The post holder will provide clinical, educational and research leadership within older adult care.
This Clinical Academic Nurse Consultant for Older People has a professional leadership role to provide strategic direction in relation to older peoples services in Tayside.
The Nurse Consultant will provide clinical, educational and research leadership in the area of older adult care. This is achieved by offering access to evidence based advice and information, professional support, clinical expertise and supervision, innovation and collaborative working.

The purpose of the role will be to a) transform older adults care and experience, b) provide an expert clinical resource in NHS Tayside, c) deliver contemporary and evidence based educational provision, d) promote a positive learning environment for student nurses and inform and influence research activities in the area of long term conditions. The post holder will also promote and support clinical academic opportunities within education and research.

Hours of work are: 37.5 per week across Monday – Friday, with 22.5 hours (3 days) based within NHS Tayside and 15 hours based at University of Dundee.
