An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader post within the Cowal and Bute CMHT. The Candidate will hold a relevant health qualification (for example: Nurse/AHP) resulting in a core profession with current valid registration with a regulatory body (for example, NMC/HCPC etc), educated to degree level or equivalent experience. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience in mental health, and have experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision. The candidate will provide professional advice and support to other members of the multi-disciplinary team and to other agencies, have responsibility for the development of the team, liaising with locality leads, mental health leads and other agencies. The candidate will be responsible for providing day to day operational management of the Community Mental Health Team, ensuring provision of a high quality mental health service which is efficient, effective, well organised, responsive, needs led and user focused, to people with severe mental health concerns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the team works cohesively and that NHS Highland protocols and guidelines are in place to enable the team members to practice within the service framework. The successful candidate will assist in taking forward local and national strategies to develop community mental health practice therefore will require excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. Evidence of personal and professional development is highly desirable. The successful candidate will join our extended mental health team at a time of exciting transition within a newly formed mental health and addiction directorate and will work alongside current team leads and extended teams to deliver dynamic and progressive services for those in Argyll and Bute
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively to various work locations within NHS Highland, Argyll & Bute HSCP.
