The Royal Alexandra Hospital In-patient theatre department consists of 9 operating theatres and a 12 bed recovery room. The unit provides peri operative care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures including, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT and both elective and trauma Orthopaedics. There is also a requirement to provide anaesthetic support to patients in the Maternity unit. In addition to having current NMC/HCPC registration applicants should have substantial relevent experience. The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities.
You will be required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 7 day week, including night shift. Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and in order to achieve the needs of the service.
