St Margaret’s GP unit is an inpatient ward delivering care within South Perthshire and Kinross locality.

St Margaret’s is a 12 bedded unit providing rehabilitation, step down and palliative care for the communities of Auchterarder and the surrounding areas. We work closely with Crieff community hospital who provide similar care in an 18 bedded unit to Crieff and the surrounding area.

There will be opportunities to work across both St Margaret’s and Crieff community hospital inpatient units as service need requires.

We are looking for a Charge Nurse with excellent communication skills, to join the multidisciplinary team within our 12-bedded ward. 

The role of the Charge nurse in a community hospital is diverse and allows nurses to develop experience in many aspects of patient care and multidisciplinary team working.

Within the Community Hospital setting there is sufficient dedicated resource to ensure we can plan and deliver high quality person centred care alongside a highly experienced, dynamic and committed team that takes pride in the quality of the care we provide to maintain or improve lives.

As an integral part of the team this post allows the registrant to work alongside and gain knowledge in social care provision, working in partnership with the integrated health and social care team, families and carers which promotes a holistic approach that provides inclusive care for patients in a sub acute setting.
