We have a vacancy for a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) to join the West Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. This role will be involved in improving access to psychological therapies within alcohol and drug recovery services and contribute to the achievement of the Psychological Therapies HEAT target. The post will be based at Dumbarton Joint Hospital.

In conjunction with clinical psychology staff, you will be required to contribute towards the implementation of a stepped/matched care multi-disciplinary psychological therapies care pathway. You will be required to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, including: structured psychological interventions delivered to protocol (group or individual programmes for anxiety, depression, alcohol/substance recovery, trauma, etc), low intensity psychological therapy for mild to moderate mental health conditions and depending on experience and any identified further training need, higher intensity psychological therapy for specific mental health conditions, delivered under supervision. In addition, you will contribute towards in-service training for other staff and provide advice and consultation to other staff delivering low-intensity CBT based psychological interventions. It is essential you have a Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, from an institution recognised by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and/or NHS Education Scotland and have experience of supervised practice in CBT with patients in an NHS setting. You should also have evidence of continual professional development related to Cognitive Behavioural therapy through attendance and workshops, seminars and reading of up to date professional journals and books

The shift pattern is; Monday – Friday 8.45 – 4.45         

This is a Fixed Term post until March 2022.
