An exciting opportunity is available to previously registered Nurses, Midwives and Specialist Community Public Health Nurses.
NHS Tayside is working in partnership with Robert Gordon University Aberdeen (RGU) to offer a programme of Return to Practice (RTP), leading to a guaranteed substantive Band 5 Nursing/Midwifery post upon successful completion of the programme. We have vacancies for you to slot right into!
Key features of RTP Course:
- This will be a unique opportunity to update your Nursing/Midwifery knowledge and practice. You will be mentored in a supportive environment (supernumerary status) that will build your confidence, enabling you to develop as a safe and effective practitioner and return to the NMC register.
- The course can be completed via a full or part time route (no less than 22.5hr/0.6WTE) and 450 placement hours will be required.
- Theory will mostly be provided in an online format and you will be fully supported to access materials. Clinical placement will also be arranged in a relevant area of the field of practice.
- This is a 30 credit module, at level 9 with two assessments, a written assignment and relevant practice assessment documentation. An individualised learning plan will be developed for each student
- Payment at band 2 for students whilst on practice placement hours and offer of a substantive post on completion of programme and rejoining NMC register.
- NHS Tayside have a dedicated Workforce Team designated to the RTP programme that can facilitate the transition from application, through to offer of substantive post on completion of the programme.
