An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking pharmacist to join the children’s pharmacy service as part of the paediatric haematology / oncology multidisciplinary and pharmacy clinical trials teams.
The postholder will have a clinical role within the paediatric haematology / oncology pharmacy team and support delivery of clinical trials to this specialist patient group. The successful candidate will support the implementation and development of the paediatric chemotherapy electronic prescribing and administration system utilising ChemoCare®; ensure the safe delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapy to children and young people and deliver paediatric haematology /oncology clinical trials as per requirements of Good Clinical Practice.
You should have experience working in hospital pharmacy and have completed the pharmacy vocational training scheme (stage II) (or be nearing submission).
Experience in paediatrics, clinical trials or haematology/oncology is advantageous but not necessary. Full training and support will be provided.
This post will be moving to the Little France Campus as part of reprovision of children’s service to the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People to provide an integrated pharmacy service with the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
