Pharmacy technician required to join research team comprising NHS and academic
staff from Glasgow and Lothian/University of Glasgow and University of Edinburgh.
Role involves the provision of a range of technical pharmaceutical services
both within the Pharmacy Department and near patient services, in the context of a pragmatic clinical trial: organisation and service provision for the study, accuracy and completeness check on information collected from home visits, day to day supervision of other team members in Glasgow and Lothian, maintenance of databases for data entry and patient appointments, collection of medication histories, evaluation of PODs, regular review of stock for home visits, clinical governance activity, project management and visiting patients homes,
Previous experience in visiting of patients at home, project management, data collection (accurately, on time), in addition to requirements on job spec. Ability to prioritise activities and organise daily tasks using own initiative working with minimal direction from trial team. Registered Technician with General Pharmaceutical Health Council. National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Science (or equivalent). SQA Higher National Units Procedures for Pharmacy Dispensary Checking Technicians. You should have relevant post qualification experience as a pharmacy technician. Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training.
