This is an excellent opportunity for an organised person with excellent kitchen management skills within Ayrshire Central Hospital.

You must have experience in large scale catering preferably within NHS and hold City if Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 (or equivalent) and supported by Intermediate Food Hygiene Diploma and supervisory qualification.

You must have previous supervisory experience and good communication skills.

You should also be able to demonstrate experience in catering production, therapeutic diets, demonstrate knowledge of food safety legislation, recent legislative changes e.g. Allergens, labelling and Health and Safety.

The main kitchen at Ayrshire Central Hospital provides in excess of 250 patient prepared cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal service for staff and other service users.

Applicants who wish to be considered must be available to cover shift patterns within the department between the hours of 6:30am – 6:00pm which will include Saturdays and Sundays.

A degree of flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work during periods of leave.

Full driving licence / car owner is essential
