An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Patient Safety, Clinical Governance and Risk Management Team for an Assistant Facilitator to join the team.
The Patient Safety, Clinical Governance & Risk Management team provides advice, support and facilitation to staff across NHS Tayside to improve quality and safety of services. The team works closely with Health & Social Care Partnerships and Clinical Care Groups. This post provides an exciting opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in Patient Safety, Clinical Governance & Risk Management.
Experience of clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management are required as well as a good understanding of healthcare.
The successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise work appropriately within a busy team working towards tight deadlines.
Experience of supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of training to multidisciplinary staff groups would be desirable.
A good understanding of quality improvement methodology would be helpful.
Practical use and knowledge of the adverse event reporting system (Datix) is required including a strong understanding of extracting and validating data from systems, performing complex data analysis and presentation in the appropriate graphical formats
You will be educated to a degree level or with equivalent experience and knowledge of patient safety, clinical governance and risk management.
The post requires travel across NHS Tayside.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Post: 1 Full time 37.5 hours/5 days per week for 18 months secondment to be agreed with your manager before applying or a fixed term contract
