NSS Digital & Security supports the NHS Scotland national eHealth agenda through the effective delivery of IM&T products and specialist services that will enable clinical process and efficiency improvements across Scotland. The core remit is focused on the management and delivery of IM&T services focused on national & local infrastructure, business and clinical capabilities.
The customer support desk team forms part of the Cloud Engineering & Operations function which supports NSS & external stakeholders through a modern infrastructure.  The customer support desk (CSD) provides first line contact and support from Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30.  This role is also responsible for administration tasks and fulfilment of IT orders.   There is also a requirement to participate in a rota for out of hours’ support.  The post will be predominately office based.    
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Technician with excellent communication & customer service skills to provide first-line support, supervision and act as deputy for the team manager. People skills are important.  Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft O365 and basic hardware and software diagnosis. Experience of ServiceNow would be an advantage though training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has worked overseas for more than 3 months will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency
