An exciting opportunity has arisen at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to join our HR Recruitment team on a full time fixed-term basis.
Our aim is to provide an outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience which requires our recruitment team to provide a high standard of customer service.
We are now looking to appoint an exceptional individual on an immediate 6 Months Fixed Term basis who will ideally have worked in recruitment before and have a good understanding of the legislation and policies that govern recruitment, to ensure the we recruit safely and fairly with transparent processes. Experience of the Applicant Tracking (ATS) recruitment system would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The successfully appointed candidate will handle a wide range of recruitment administrative tasks on a day to day basis which depending on the recruitment section they are deployed to will include responsibility for all areas of recruitment including assisting the coordination and administration of the recruitment cycle from application received, arranging hiring manager shortlists ,applications ,arranging interviews including setting up MS Teams video links for interviews , liaising with candidates on interview outcomes issuing job offers ,completing pre-employment checks and progressing onboarding stages including payroll engagement .
The post holder will be aligned in the first instance to our to team covering Medical and Dental vacancies but will expect to be cross trained to cover other NHS professions such as Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health Professionals as well as a wide range of clinical and non-clinical Support staff.
Reporting to and working closely with your assigned Recruitment Team Lead you will contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective recruitment service across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and will be a key contact point for NHS service hiring managers and clinicians for issues pertaining to the recruitment and selection of NHS staff. The successful candidate will contribute to supporting our hiring managers on a range of recruitment administrative functions and tasks.
We are looking to appoint exceptional individual who will bring experience of working successfully in a high volume and fast paced customer facing administrative role with experience of using Recruitment Applicant Tracking /IT systems desirable. Experience of using equivalent IT data systems is essential. Excellent PC / Microsoft skills are also essential.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to operate as part of a small team and at the same time manage their own priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver the priorities of a time efficient Recruitment service. You will have a keen eye for detail and whilst previous NHS experience is not essential it would be desirable for candidates to demonstrate experience of delivering effectively within a high volume recruitment /HR administrative functions within the Public or Private sector or an equivalent customer facing role.
We are seeking to appoint a motivated, passionate and driven individual who will relish the opportunity to work in a high volume and exceptionally busy customer-focused recruitment team.
As this post will bring you into direct contact with job applicants, NHSGGC service managers, clinicians and staff participating in recruitment and selection it is essential that you have excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate an exceptional customer service ethos and practice and be able to work well under pressure, with strong organisational skills and be able to manage and prioritise an extremely varied, busy and often unpredictable workload.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate effective written communication skills in addition to demonstrating close attention to detail in the presentation of their work.
