Greater Glasgow & Clyde forms the largest Health Authority in the UK which provides Audiology services over a large area of inner city and rural populations. The role of the Assistant will be to support Audiologists in the provision of Audiology and Hearing care to the population of Greater Glasgow & Clyde. You will, after a period of in house training, carry out basic hearing aid checks/ maintenance where necessary, earmould maintenance, impression taking and battery issue. You will also carry out administrative and clerical duties, room preparation and stock control/ ordering.
It is essential for this post you have excellent communication skills and empathy with the hearing impaired and their families.
It is essential you have good IT skills and 4 standard grades/national 5 qualifications or equivalent
Ability to work in a team as well as being able to make decisions when working single handed is required for this post. Experience within a healthcare setting would be advantageous.
The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday.
