with a full-time on-call commitment

We are looking to recruit a talented and motivated individual to a non-training grade specialist doctor post in Public Health Medicine to join the Directorate of Public Health in NHS Tayside.  This is a new post where we are keen to broaden our range of staff and provide opportunities for non-training grade doctors within Public Health. The new post is available full time

The post holder will work closely with Consultant and Specialist trainee colleagues in our longstanding and well respected team which comprises; Director of Public Health, Consultants in Public Health (Medicine), three specialist trainees in Public Health and Consultants in Dental, Pharmacy and Public Health Nutrition.  The post holder will also work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary Directorate of Public Health team.  The successful candidate will work primarily with the Health Protection Team to support Test and Protect COVID-19 response in Tayside

In the future, there will also be opportunities to work across the wider Public Health department.   The training needs of the individual will be incorporated and the successful candidate will also benefit from a named clinical and educational supervisor 

The post holder will participate in an on-call rota with fulltime commitment to a 1 in 7 frequency
