Are you a registered children’s nurse? Do you have experience with caring for children of a wide age range in both medical and surgical specialities? Do you have excellent interpersonal skills? Can you work well as part of a team? Do you fancy a short term secondment to see what working in a Day Case Unit and Out Patient Department is like?
Due to impending maternity leave we wish to recruit a skilled and motivated staff nurse to join our small and friendly team which covers both DCU & OPD and infusion bay on the inpatient floor and community outpatient hubs. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and able to make appropriate nursing decisions. Previous experience at staff nurse level is highly desirable, but not essential. Experience with Hickman lines and port-a-caths advantageous but again not essential as training will be given.
Shift pattern - to cover the opening hours of the departments hours between 0730-1800. Flexibility is essential and fixed days will not be considered.
The Day Case Unit is open Monday to Friday 07.30-18.00 and the Outpatient Department 0800-1700 Monday - Friday
