The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is national evidence based early intervention programme for first time mothers of 19 years and under from early pregnancy until the child turns two. As part of the Scottish Government's commitment to expand the Family Nurse Partnership programme across Scotland we are delighted to have the opportunity to appoint a Family Nurse to join one of our existing teams in Fife. Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is a Fife wide service and you will be based at either Cameron Hospital, Queen Margaret Hospital, or Linburn Road Health Centre, Dunfermline.
The Family Nurse Partnership post requirements are:
• First level registered nurse or midwife with current NMC registration.
• Professional knowledge acquired at degree level underpinning further specialist education and training such as Public Health Nursing/ Health Visiting, Mental Health or Paediatric Nursing. Please see the job description for further details on the post requirements.
• You should have understanding and practice experience of working with families in the community and knowledge of national and local polices in place to protect children. A working knowledge of Getting It Right For Every Child and legislation relating to children and young people are essential.
Please Note: Successful applicants are required to attend mandatory training events across Scotland, some of which may be residential commencing 1st March 2021
