CAMHS Nurse Band 6 – RMN Unscheduled Care Team
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
Secondment or Fixed term Post
37.5 hours per week.
Location: Links Unit, City Hospital, Park Road, Aberdeen, AB24 2AU
An opportunity has arisen within CAMHS for a Band 6 nurse to join a multi disciplinary, Pan Grampian, CAMHS Unscheduled Care Team. This is a newly funded team and the candidates will be instrumental in shaping and developing this newly formed team along side medical and psychology colleagues. Candidates need to have extensive assessment skills and experience in risk assessment and risk management.
CAMHS provides a specialist mental health service for children and young people aged 0 - 18 years presenting with a range of mental health conditions and developmental disorders.If you have a genuine interest in CAMHS then this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team. The candidate will work with patients and their families in a variety of settings and be able to show an aptitude for working with this patient group. Excellent communication skills with children and young people, families, colleagues and other stakeholders are essential.
Evidence of ongoing and appropriate professional development is required as is being flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of CAMHS. Knowledge in a psychological therapy would be advantageous but not essential.
Car driver is essential as there may be occasions when assessment/ treatment at home or another location is required.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates
