We are delighted to announce we are recruiting to an exciting Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Steam. This role will be working within our Estates Department and is part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for maintaining, repairing, operating and testing a range of plant and equipment necessary for the provision of a safe, efficient and compliant service to healthcare locations across the Lothian’s.

To be considered for this programme you must be a current member of NHS Lothian staff and hold a National 4, or above, in English and Mathematics. In addition to this, we are also interested in your values, attitude and ability to learn and how this will enable you to become a valued member of the Estates team.

Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will progress forward to the 2nd stage which is an Aptitude & Situational Judgement Test, only those who successfully pass this test will be asked to return to for an interview.

Candidates who are successful in interview will be expected to start in your new role on Monday 25th January 2021.
