A number of exciting opportunities have arisen within the Board Headquarters Administration Team, supporting a range of work streams including Corporate Services, Project Management Office and the Secretariat Department. Based within Board Headquarters, the Board Administration Team incorporates a number of key functions to support the operational, strategic and governance mechanisms within the organisation.   

​​​​​​​Secretariate Department

Working within the Secretariat Team, the post holders will provide a professional Secretariat function to a range of meetings including NHSGGC Board, Standing Committees of NHSGGC Board, Professional Advisory Committees, and other groups, as required. The post holder will manage all aspects of committees including organisation of meetings, preparation of agendas, collation of papers, attending meetings to produce high quality, accurate and clear minutes, tracking and completing committee actions, and  working within agreed timescales for circulation of agendas, papers and completion of minutes. Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail. 

You should have a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience. You should also have competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL and have significant experience in an NHS (or equivalent large, complex organisation).   The shift pattern for this post is 9.00am – 5.00pm


Corporate Services/Project Management Office

Candidates will require excellent organisation and communication skills to provide a professional and comprehensive Administration/PA service working with senior level colleagues including Chief Executive, Chairman, Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors of the Board, and a wide range of external colleagues.  The ability to respond flexibly and efficiently to quickly changing priorities is essential, along with a high degree of attention to detail.

You should have a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience. You should also have competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL and have significant experience in an NHS (or equivalent large, complex organisation).   The shift pattern for this post is 9.00am – 5.00pm.
