This exciting new post has been developed to continue to raise the profile of unpaid carers across the North Highland area. The suitable candidate will have a good understanding of carers legislation and the important role that unpaid carers do to support people to remain within their loal community. The role will include developing and delivering training to NHS staff to raise awareness of the statutory duties placed on the organisation particularly around plans for hospital discharge, and to support NHS Highland's move to Established status as a carer postive employer as well as leading on actively promoting the role of unpaid carers via websites and social media platforms.
