The predominant purpose of the Facilities Assistant (Domestic) role is to provide a quality domestic service to the hospital ensuring that a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors, following agreed cleaning work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired infection (HAI_ Task Force Code of Practice. Staff are required to rotate around all wards, clinical areas and departments within the hospital. Provision of a food and beverage service for patients in adherence with Food Safety

You will present an efficient, high quality domestic service to patients and staff and follow specific schedule of work relating to defined areas although post holders are required to have a flexible approach to daily routine.

You will wear protective clothing as supplied by the Department.and complete all daily/weekly sign off sheets for areas of work, dispose of waste in accordance with relevant Policy and clean crockery, cutlery, utensils, containers and small scale equipment manually or through the dish washer located in the ward kitchen (as per work schedule). All required training will be given for this post.
