This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our oncology physiotherapy service. The post holder will work alongside physiotherapists in the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, providing rehabilitation to frail and acutely unwell patients.

Candidates should display evidence of experience teaching prescribed exercise programmes, mobility training, general rehabilitation skills and administrative tasks.

The individual must display excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to work alone or with others.

Experience of working on wards in an acute hospital setting and experience of working with people with cancer would be ideal.

Previous experience as a physiotherapy assistant or within the physiotherapy profession would be beneficial. 

Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision and CPD opportunities.
