We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to join our Pharmaceutical Care Services Team.

 

This is a new post as part of an expanded team providing an experienced pharmacy technician the opportunity to build on their skills and input to the changing face of Pharmacy.

 

The successful candidate will join the pharmaceutical care services team to provide leadership and support in the development of efficient and effective pharmaceutical care services, from community pharmacies in NHS Grampian. Key aspects of the role include assisting with the development and implementation of pharmacy contracts, evaluating pharmaceutical care services using data, providing professional advice to local pharmacies and NHS Grampian and supporting the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care. In addition the post holder will undertake pharmacy support visits and controlled drug destructions across NHS Grampian sites, in support of the existing controlled drugs inspection team. For this interesting and varied post the successful candidate will require experience and understanding of community pharmacy services, a full driving license and strong communication, organization and IT skills.

 

The post holder will be part of a friendly team of staff with a reputation for innovation and development based in the Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate, Westholme, Woodend Hospital, Aberdeen.

 

The hours of this post are Monday- Friday 9am -5pm with occasional evening work e.g. to support education and training sessions; however applicants looking for part-time/ flexible working/ job-share/secondment are encouraged to apply and will be considered.
