This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinical psychologist to join the Psychological Therapies Service based at St John’s Hospital, Livingston. You will be responsible for carrying out assessments and delivering specialist psychological therapies in both individual and group formats. Along with maintaining a clinical caseload, the postholder will provide clinical supervision to other staff and to psychologists in training and line management responsibilities as appropriate. Staff in the department are actively involved in Quality Improvement initiatives and the successful applicant will be encouraged to contribute to service development projects.
The Psychological Therapies Service (PTS) consists of clinical/counselling psychologists, psychological therapists and clinical associates in applied psychology (CAAPs). We offer a range of therapies, including CBT, CBASP, CAT, EMDR, CFT, and IPT. We offer both individual and group treatments. There are links with other services providing community wellbeing and mental health input within the West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership including the recent establishment of CMHT and Wellbeing Hubs; both of which have substantive psychology posts.
You must have an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and be registered with HCPC as Applied Psychologist or be eligible for registration.
