An exciting opportunity has arisen at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a senior registered nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Charge Nurse position.
You should have a commitment to acute medicine, patient centred care and supporting effective team working. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supporting the Senior Charge Nurse driving forward change within Ward 53. You will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. The post holder must have post registration experience within an acute clinical setting and be able demonstrate clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses.
Ward 53 consists of 24 inpatient beds and is currently functioning as a COVID-19 Positive ward. As a Charge Nurse you will be expected to have an overview of the ward and support with capacity and flow in and out. We work closely with many multidisciplinary teams and they assist us with enhanced discharge planning.

This post is full time, 37.5 hour per week. There is also a requirement to cover the duty charge nurse rota.
