The Scottish Ambulance Service Mobile Testing COVID Testing Team (MTU) is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to undertake the National Operations Cell Planner role based within the National Operations Cell (NOC). The NOC is a busy environment dealing with the planning and control of all aspects of MTU operational deployment.
The successful applicant will be based within the NOC planning team at NHS Louisa Jordan, Glasgow (under review) and will be responsible for providing, through careful and efficient planning and organisation of MTU deployments for all operational units across Scotland.
The role will include being the point of contact for all operational personnel with shifts, liaising with Managers and Team Leaders to ensure that operational issues are dealt with in a timely fashion. The role also includes providing timely, accurate information regarding operational planning and deployments to managers and relevant Departments within and out with the Service.
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate previous experience in an administrative or clerical position, preferably within scheduling or planning. Also required is confidence and competence in the use of IT, the ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, along with accuracy and attention to detail.
This role requires a flexible approach to working patterns as the successful applicant will be expected to work across the 7 day period and working patterns will include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
