We require a individual to provide specialist evidence-based advice, guidance and leadership on the planning, development and/or evaluation of strategies, programmes and initiatives that impact on health in Tayside, as well as advice on specialist analyses of health information. The post holder will provide specialist Public Health support to the local health improvement agenda, in partnership with NHS Tayside, Integration Joint Boards, Community Planning Partnerships and Local Authorities.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, experience in information retrieval and management and experience in conducting social science research. Experience of effective negotiating and influencing skills in order to lead, facilitate and maintain effective partnership working with colleagues representing different organisational cultures and agendas is essential.
You will have gained this specialist knowledge and experience of epidemiological, analytical, and statistical techniques and procedures through a degree level qualification, or equivalent experience. You must be able to demonstrate additional relevant specialist knowledge acquired through training and relevant experience to masters degree level, or equivalent.
The ability to travel throughout Tayside is required for the post.
