An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time band 7 General Practice Clinical Pharmacist to join our primary care pharmacy team.
Working as part of the Community Health & Social Care team, you will liaise with the five GP practices across the Stewartry to assist in the provision of the pharmacotherapy service that is being implemented as part of the General Medical Services contract. This service will see pharmacists and pharmacy technicians take a leading role in medicines management and medication review as part of the multidisciplinary teams. You will also help to support the promotion of cost-effective prescribing, implement cost-effective prescribing initiatives and liaise with key stakeholders. Career development will be supported via the NES GPCP framework with progression to an independent prescribing qualification.
The Stewartry team are working towards a remote hub model to provide a reliable service to all 5 GP practices for core aspects of the level 1 service, with clinical pharmacists also getting dedicated practice time to work on medicine reviews. This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the expanding team that we have here in Dumfries & Galloway and a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of working in a primary care setting with a dynamic group.
Hours are flexible between 0815-1700
