Staff Bank Staff Counsellors – Occupational Health & Safety Services (Band 5 & Band 6)
Temporary (7.5 – 15 hrs hours available).
Provide confidential counselling to employees of NHS Lothian and Health and Social Care Partners and also to employees of commercial clients of Lothian Occupational Health & Safety Services.
Provide confidential counselling in accordance with NHS protocols, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and (COSCA ) Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice. Band 6 applicants must be BACP Accredited Counsellors or equivalent (COSCA). Band 5 Entry Level applicants must have completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and a minimum of 150 hours of supervised experience with individual adult clients.
Experience of time limited counselling is essential. The post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership or record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory adult regulatory group then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory.
