We require an individual who has relevant current health improvement experience at a strategic and operational level and qualifications in health promotion/ improvement/ public health.

 

The job description is generic; initially the post holder will lead on a portfolio comprising mental health and wellbeing and substance use.  In time, you can expect the topics/settings for your work to change in line with local and national priorities.

 

Previous experience in leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of health improvement initiatives as well as the preparation, delivery and evaluation of training courses is essential.

 

A postgraduate master’s level in Health Promotion/Improvement, Health Education or Public Health, or evidence of significant experience and achievements in this field is required for the post.  You must also be able to travel throughout Tayside to undertake the duties of the post.

 

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
