This post is fixed term for 18 months.


The Band 3 Clinical Support Worker is a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing care for patients in the community.  

You will provide care for individuals who have a mental illness and or a learning disability and/or present a serious risk to themselves or others.

You will report observed changes in the clients physical/psychological needs and maintain accurate and up to date records to ensure effective communication. You will provide high quality patient care by carrying out a range of delegated clinical duties, directed by a registered nurse.

In the absence of the patient’s key worker the clinical support worker will be the named co-worker for individual clients to help to ensure their needs are being met.   This requires regular client and co-worker meetings to support attainment of achievable goals and carrying out forward planning to ensure the needs of the client are being met at all times.  You should have previous experience in a caring environment/role preferably in a health care setting particularly mental health.  A current driving licence is required for this post.  The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
