Job Advert

To provide highly specialised technical support in the diagnosis and treatment of Cardiac disease.


Responsible for the day-to-day operation, organisation and supervision of highly specialist sections of the service i.e. Exercise Stress Testing, Tilt Testing, Heart Rhythm Management, Cardiac Catheterisation (Hairmyres) and routine work areas.


Undertakes a wide range of specialist cardiac diagnostic tests and produces an independent self generated clinical report on the findings.


Supervises and trains junior technical staff.


BSc. in Clinical Physiology  or  equivalent for example HNC in Physiological Measurement and additional theoretical knowledge gained  EITHER through professional examinations e.g. – associate membership of the Society for Cardiological Science OR inservice experience.


A minimum of three years post qualification experience.


Expected to be undertaking various professional accreditations at advanced level of study to post graduate level.
