NHS Grampian now has a number of immediate opportunities to work as part of a remote team of contact tracers, responsible for providing the first point of contact with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 and their contacts. 

You will undertake telephone interviews and accurately capture all relevant data on the Case Management System (CMS).  These roles are vital in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19 between individuals by contacting people at risk of transmission.

The main attributes of the role are flexibility, tact, persistence, clear verbal communication skills, ability to write detailed notes and also to take responsibility for decisions, alongside understanding when decisions need to be escalated to a Team Leader as appropriate. You must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and electronic information systems to support the public health management of cases A clinical background is desirable but not essential.

  • You must be educated to degree level or have the equivalent experience which is relevant to the main attributes of the role detailed above.
  • You must be able to work flexibly over a 37.5 hour week, five days from seven,   10.00 - 18.00 or 12.00 - 20.00
  • You must be able to attend Aberdeen on Monday 1st February to present identification.
  • You must be able to work from home with no or minimal disruption to your work.
