This post is for a Health Improvement Practitioner.
The postholder will be required to assist in the development and delivery of Health Promotion activities with the overall aim of improving health and reducing health inequalities in line with Scottish Executive priorities and local priorities and needs.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Provision of consultancy and advice on activity planning and topic-based health promotion.
- Contributing to the initiation, planning, development and implementation of health promotion initiatives.
- To manage/lead on specific health promotion projects.
- Evaluation of health promotion initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training on a regular basis.
- Organise budgets and resources allocated to individual projects.
- Provide a level of expertise in one specific topic or subject area e.g. youth health, drugs and alcohol, workplace health.
- Out of hours working is required.
This post will be Fixed Term until 31/03/2023.
