East Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are looking to recruit two full time (37.5hours) Band 3 Community Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) on a 6 month fixed term contract.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or new HCSW wishing to have a career working within the District Nursing Team.


As a HCSW you will have the awareness and ability to address the basic care needs of individual patients under the direction and supervision of the registered nurses. You will support the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality, patient centered, safe and effective care. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously as well as within a team and be committed to continuous professional development.


Within the community setting you are supported through your induction and development by experienced team members including completion of the Health Care Support Workers Competency and Learning Framework.

​​​​​​​This post covers all adult patients who require the support and expertise of the Community Nursing Service as well as treatment room and care service and covers a wide range of clinical conditions. You will be expected to visit patients within their own home as well as residential care settings and clinics/treatment rooms

You will be required to work flexibly in terms of location geographically to support other areas of teams working within the local District Nursing service.

It is essential that you have an SVQ Level 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience. A full driving license is desirable

Working pattern will be 5 days over 7. Weekend working as part of a Rota may be required.
