Theatre Nurse Practitioner/Operating Department Practitioner (Ref: 42464)
Band 5
Part Time – 34 hours per week
Salary Range £25,100 - £31,649 per annum pro rata
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,895 per annum and Relocation assistance of up to £8,000
Are you a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner? This is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills in aseptic technique and different aspects of surgical nursing?
In this Scrub Nurse role, you will learn to be responsible for all aspects of patient care in the Theatre Suite, ensuring the environment is safe and effective for delivery of care to adults and children. You will provide excellence in scrub, circulating and recovery care from admission to discharge – previous experience in this area is desirable but not essential as a full training package will be provided.
The Theatre department offers an opportunity to undertake extended role developments in Theatre nursing. Good communication and team working skills are also essential for this role. There is a requirement to participate in an on-call team, for which an allowance is payable.
