As an expert practitioner, provide a comprehensive Consultant Therapeutic Radiographer service in lung cancer, including management of own caseload, the provision of expert advice, clinical leadership and strategic direction to promote optimal quality of care. Improve service delivery through the research and development of new and existing services. Provide specialist training and education, supervision, mentorship and ongoing support for radiographers and nursing and specialist trainees in relation to radiotherapy for lung cancer. Act as a mentor for role development in specialist radiographers and advanced practitioners within the department and disseminate expert knowledge at meetings and conferences.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
