We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Knowledge Services Assistant to join our Knowledge Services Team within Public Health Scotland, Scotland’s lead national agency for improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of all of Scotland’s people. This post is part of the Knowledge and Research Services Team, which sits in the Directorate of Board Clinical and Protecting Health. The postholder will provide efficient and effective support to the Knowledge Services Team with particular responsibility for the Scottish Covid-19 Research Repository. This resource has been developed by Public Health Scotland to bring together and provide access to Scottish COVID-19 research on a single shared platform in order to promote Scottish research to an international audience. You will have a minimum of Level 3 qualification or equivalent HNC/HND qualification in library/information studies or equivalent experience working in a library or information environment in a customer facing role. You will have excellent communication skills, digital and IT skills, and experience of working with electronic information systems. Knowledge and experience of metadata or cataloguing standards would be desirable. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach, meticulous attention to detail, good organisational skills and a helpful and friendly manner, who will thrive as part of a busy team.
