Who We Are 
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland.

What You Will Do

Key tasks will include but not be restricted to:
•    Design and support the architecture, capacity, deployment, instrumentation and monitoring of NES cloud-based products within various cloud environments, including, Azure/Microsoft 365, Amazon AWS as well as Jira platforms.
•    Responsible for automating, streamlining operations and processes, including consolidating cloud services/resources.
•    Develop, maintain and monitor NES’s technical infrastructure and systems advising on national collaboration roadmaps and market leading solutions. 
•    Design/build/maintain NES’s hybrid infrastructure model, utilising VMWare technologies on premise and Azure/AWS cloud platforms IaaS/SaaS solutions.
•    Ensuring that any systems development is done in compliance with agreed standards such as ISO 27001 Information Security.


What You Will Bring 

These will include but are not restricted to:

•    Develop and maintain essential configuration and management systems, ensuring automation of many currently manual and fragmented tasks
•    Develop and promote the DevOps collaboration culture within the Digital directorate, working with the Senior Specialist Information Analysts to develop, standards, frameworks and management systems consistent for cloud and on-premise operations. 
•    Provide specialist knowledge of operational and development technologies that can be utilised in operations as well as other areas of Digital to suit a flexible resource model.
