Site Facilities Manager
Band 7 – 37.5 Hour Posts
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced members of staff to apply for this high profile challenging role within the Facilities team; based on the Queen Elizabeth University campus. As a senior Facilities manager you will provide professional management and leadership of Facilities services and effective hospital site management on a day-to-day operational basis.
This will involve responsibility for the delivery a range of Facilities services, an ability to deliver high quality, whilst effectively managing significant budgets, ensuring these are maintained at all times within agreed financial boundaries.
The post requires a dynamic, forward thinking individual who possesses excellent business management and communication skills, is highly conversant with all IT applications and standard software, has an ability to interpret a range of IT related systems (such as FMFirst, Portertrak, DMT etc). In addition you must demonstrate an ability to lead teams of staff effectively and to consistently produce high quality standards of work, be highly adaptable and have an ability to prioritise workloads within a pressurised environment. The standard hours of work will be between the hours of 0800 and 2000 hours Monday to Friday however there will be an expectation and requirement for the post holder to have a presence on all shifts (day, back, night Monday to Sunday) as business activity requires. You should have substantial experience in a senior management role within an NHS/FM related role and be able to demonstrate your ability to undertake this challenging role through successful previous performance.
