The Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective and person centred management of patient flow throughout University Hospital Monklands. The post holder will be responsible for the management, co-ordination and provision of leadership to the Flow/Night Managers, and will have the option to work on a rotational basis across a 24 hour period.
Central to the role will be the need to proactively lead and act on the information and intelligence made available from the site’s Operational Command Centre, building on escalation with the teams from ED/MAU and the receiving areas. The post is integral to ensuring a seamless service is delivered to patients across all specialties, allowing for optimum bed capacity and for resources to be deployed appropriately to support effective patient pathways.
The successful candidate will provide clinical and operational leadership and expert advice to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in relation to patient flow, data intelligence and quality improvement to optimise patient experience through the acute hospital, and will contribute to ongoing service development.
To be considered for this post you should be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration, be educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level with post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently, have comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice and have specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
