NHS Western Isles is looking to recruit four Charge Nurses to Medical 1. Medical Ward 1 is part of the Integrated Medical Unit. The ward deals with a wide range of acute medical conditions and has a designated 4 Bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU) and 3 Bedded Paediatric Area. The HDU provides facilities for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and invasive medical procedures and investigations.
Day/Night Rotation.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic senior staff nurse who will have:
* The ability to demonstrate clinical excellence in nursing practice.
* The ability to facilitate and manage change within the clinical environment.
* Commitment to the delivery of evidence based care.
* Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a flexible team orientated approach.
* Provide nursing leadership and expertise and contribute to the education, training and support of fellow health professionals.
* Provide clinical and operational support to the SCN.
* A Paediatric /HDU qualification is desirable but not essential for this post. Applicants will be expected to take part in looking after paediatric patients.
