An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced full time HR professional to join our team during a very challenging time for the NHS. You will be working in a fast paced, yet rewarding environment, which provides an ideal opportunity to influence the future direction of the HR & ER agenda within SAS.
Working at a strategic and operational level, you will work closely with the senior management of the North Operating region and lead the development of a business partnering delivery model. You will have a key role in promoting the NHS values by focusing on key deliverables for SAS in regard to current and future workforce resourcing and capacity, employee wellbeing and partnership working. It is essential that you have experience of managing complex HR issues, working in a highly structured unionised environment with an excellent working knowledge of current employment law. You will report to the national Head of Human Resources & Employee Relations, but you will be required to work autonomously. You will also have a national portfolio to assist in the delivery of the Directorate’s workforce objectives. You will have well developed leadership skills and experience, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be confident in dealing with staff and managers at all levels.
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification relevant to the role, and hold Chartered Membership of the CIPD. Knowledge of NHS Scotland terms and conditions would be desirable.
This is a regional role and travel throughout the north of Scotland will be a requirement depending on the easing of the current national lock down restrictions.
