We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Health Improvement service within Glasgow City Community Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP). The Health Improvement Lead (Community Well Being) will play a lead role in the strategic planning and development of approaches and services to deliver on the national Framework for Community Mental Health and Well Being Supports and Services. You will contribute to the strategic development of preventative and responsive Tier 1 and 2 services with a clear emphasis on co-production and on reducing health inequalities. You will influence and lead on this agenda within the HSCP and key partner agencies to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient programme delivery across the relevant priority groups within the Framework. The post has significant responsibility for ensuring cohesion between strategies and programmes at a city and locality level. You will deliver the post requirements through strategic multi-agency partnership working in keeping with the spirit of co-production that underpins the national Framework. Experience of working effectively across professional, service and organisational boundaries is essential.
Qualifications
You must be qualified to degree standard, you should have a postgraduate qualification that demonstrates an understanding of health improvement/ health promotion/ public health, or has augmented by additional modules at master’s level an existing related post graduate qualification. The shift pattern for this post is Hours to be working mainly between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with occasional evening/weekend working as required.
This is a Fixed term post 12 months.
