We have an exciting opportunity for a public health librarian to join our Knowledge Services Team within Public Health Scotland, Scotland’s lead national agency for improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of all of Scotland’s people. This post is part of the Knowledge and Research Services Team, which sits in the Directorate of Board Clinical and Protecting Health.
As one of our team of public health librarians, you will provide knowledge support to internal and external customers including advanced literature searching and summarisation, information skills training and current awareness services.
You will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in library/information studies and a minimum of two years’ experience working within a library and information environment. You will have excellent project management skills, communication skills, digital and IT skills, and knowledge of bibliographic databases, reference management software and electronic library management systems.
We are looking for someone with a flexible approach, good attention to detail and a helpful and friendly manner, who will thrive as part of a busy team. The post-holder may be based in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, but will be working from home initially.
